Who We Are

The world is becoming one global village — no government, and no business, survives in isolation anymore. ATC exists so Africa is never on the side-lines of that process.

Founding Premise

Committed to integrating African business into the globalization process, and creating opportunities for African-made products abroad.

Mandate

Promoting foreign and local direct investment, optimal local content utilization, and regional trade integration.

Globalization is the dominating issue in both government and commerce today. No government or nation can survive alone — business is more interrelated and dependent on networks than ever, and economies are merging to overcome the impending tides of globalization. Africa cannot remain on the side-lines of this ongoing process.

It is on this premise that the African Trade Center is committed to its promise: to effectively contribute to the integration of African business into the globalization process, and to create opportunities for African-made products in the vast international export market. ATC is a trade and investment promotion agency, fully committed to promoting foreign and local direct investment into the African economy, the optimal utilization of local content, the facilitation of regional trade integration, and the export and acceptance of African-made goods in the international market.

Africa is a land full of opportunities — and ATC is equally committed to translating these opportunities into realities.

Our Target

Putting African Goods on the World Stage

Our target is to see African goods compete favourably in the international market, while promoting Africa globally as a preferred investment destination — with its abundant human and natural endowments.

Our prime objective is to promote enterprise and a sound environment conducive to the conduct of business anywhere in Africa, for Africans and non-Africans alike — bridging the existing gaps between African manufacturers and their counterparts in emerging and developed economies.
